New Studio Initiative in Karlskrona

This year, Carl Film Forum will be hosted at the newly established studio, a collaborative initiative between Blekinge Institute of Technology, Region Blekinge, and Karlskrona Municipality, alongside the business community. This initiative represents an important step in our ambition to make Karlskrona a central hub for film production in the Nordic region. The studio will be one of Sweden’s largest, featuring the country’s biggest permanent Virtual Production facility. With a focus on innovation, research, and development in a ”dual-use” perspective, we see this investment as a crucial step in building and strengthening Sweden’s global competitiveness in the audiovisual industry.

At the opening of the new film studio with VPSL, we will ceremoniously reveal the studio’s new name.
